What is required for an A-grade?
Exam answers
- should demonstrates an exceptionally good understanding/knowledge of the course material
- should be presented in a self-consistent and self-sufficient form (like entries in an encyclopedia)
- should be well-structured and concise
To get the full mark an exam answer must meet all three requirements.
Research paper
- should demonstrates an exceptionally good understanding/knowledge of the course material
- should be well-structured (containing a thesis statement) with a smooth transition between different sections
- should contain arguments which are well-stated, well-organized, and fully developed
- should demonstrate your ability to analyze the problems you are writing on
- should contain analyses leading to results beyond the obvious
- should meet all requirements for a research paper
- should contain no typos and no basic grammar mistakes
As an A paper is exceptional in every respect it should meet all seven requirements.
