Today (Thursday, 23 September 2010) when I went in Concordia's Webster Library to arrange my book Relativity and the Nature of Spacetime to be placed on (one day) reserve I was quite perplexed (or perhaps rather amused) to see on the page with the dedication To all who struggle to understand this strange world a drawing the text of which says it was of myself. This made me wonder whether those who misunderstood relativity might be in some sense right - there are so many things in this world that look truly relative.
